Job Responsibilities:
Participate and contribute in the full project life cycle, including gathering requirements, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support of applications.
Follow standard software development methodologies and SDLC practices to produce high quality applications in an efficient manner.
Participate in estimating assigned work effort and be accountable for completion dates
Document code and support release management as needed
Reverse engineering of existing code and perform impact analysis of the changes done with regard to earlier written documentation
Skills and Experience Required:
5+ years of experience in complex SQL development leveraging analytics functions primarily in Microsoft SQL Server environment
5+ years in software engineering/development roles primarily in SSRS, SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server tools
Strong knowledge of SQL required
Experience in writing and refactoring complex stored procedures
Resource will be spending 70% as an SQL developer and 30% in analysis working with business teams to confirm/update the data mapping/requirements document
Experience in internal and external stakeholder communications and outreach, including the development of presentations and other materials.
Solid understanding with all the aspects of project life cycles with experience in release management
Experience with code documentation
Process and detail oriented with advanced analytical skills
Excellent problem solving skills and ability to creatively troubleshoot production issues
Ability to reconcile data when data integrity issues are found
