ighbrow was proud to be one of the biggest sponsors of cultural festival known as Ananda Mela, the joyful celebration of Indian arts and culture. The weekend-long festival included dance performances, activities for all ages, and delicious food native to the regions of India. For the year of 2018, Highbrow ensured that Ananda Mela would run smoothly be sponsoring the event, allowing for us to promote the company to festivalgoers. Participants could come by to the booth and play a “spin the wheel” giveaway game, in an effort to spread joy to those that took the time to learn about the company. Along with sponsorship, Highbrow volunteered at bouncy houses for kids, as a part of the effort to satisfy the entertainment needs of small children, while also lending a helping hand to the festival.
About Philanthropy
E
ngaging in “corporate social responsibility” allows for us as a business to not just benefit our clients, but the community around us. Our role within this world is to aide our clients and out community, serving all of humanity through volunteer efforts and civic engagement. This plays into the Hindu philosophy of sewa, which is defined as “service beyond self.” We pride ourselves on the act of sewa, where we devote our time through volunteering in various events in the Seattle area. In the end, we build trust with not just our clients, but with our fellow human beings as a whole.
